A Thousand Thanks!
Thank you for nominating me for the Golden Kayak in the first place. I listened to all the contenders over the course of a couple weeks, and there was a lot of great music from people I was unfamiliar with, plus many old favorites. If you haven't heard, my songs "Train" and "One More Night with my Baby" won in their respective categories. You know, sometimes I feel like my songs just disappear into the ether after one listening. It's nice to know that they have some kind of value to people, because I don't write for myself, I write for other people. Music is a way of connecting souls. Congratulations to all the winners, and all the nominees - you are all my brothers and sisters.

I echo what Stoneman said. Your award was well deserved. You have a work ethic that is inspirational. You consistently and frequently come up with very ambitious songs that always reflect hard work and creativity. You put the art in artist!
