Tribute to a Fallen Brother (New Song)
I met Greg Murai when we were both 13. We grew up writing music together and I wrote a number of lyrics for him. He had an actual degree in composition and was easily the most theory based musician of all my musical friends. When I wrote on my own, I often would ask, "What would Greg do?" and it always made my songs better. He was a great friend, composer, arranger, and performer. He died suddenly and unexpectedly of heart failure 5 years ago. He still inspires me. So much music I wanted to do with Greg. So fun to play with. Beautiful song for him.
