A Song about Stevie
I spent New Year's with Bob Elliott and his family. This is a recording we did of a song I'd just written with me, and Bob, and his sons, Parker and Thelonius. It's cool because it's different than what I would have come up with alone. It's always fun recording with other people! . Stevie

It's a beauty, and will get a lot better mix when I finish work June 12th. Until then, I'm buried. "Thelonious" with an 'O' Parker and Theo sing the back ups with Tom, and Parker plays some electric. Theo plays a Eurorack which provides all the drums and some key sounds. I play bass. That was a very fun time. I have loads of music to bring to IMP when I get out of work and can mix it all.

I always look forward to a new Tom O’brien song because he continues to surprise us with innovative and creative work that consistently evokes heartfelt and intellectual themes that entertain and inform. This new song is musically and lyrically a wonderful tribute to an icon we all love and respect. The vocal and instrumental performance is very well executed by Tom and friends…a great “joint” venture ;-)
