I enjoyed it on several levels, and would definitely recommend it. The guy who played Bob (whose name I should know - Timothy something) didn't look like Dylan - Dylan has a unique face, but his attitude seemed genuine, and you can tell he did lot of homework. For instance, I've long noticed Bob's slightly strange pronunciation of the word "ears" in "Blowing in the Wind" - and the actor made sure to do that in the film. Musically, he was totally solid and believable. I hate films where the actors play musicians but don't play the instruments. Dylan's music is not all that challenging to play, but this guy did an admirable job of really owning the songs.

I saw it. First time I saw a movie in a theatre for like half a dozen years. It wasn't quite what I expected but I enjoyed it, mostly for cool little stuff they snuck in there like the Al Kooper scene recording LIke A Rolling Stone. The thing that strikes me so much is that society is so much more shallow today, there could never be a Bobbymania like there was in his trilogy heyday.
