How do you share your work

Since CDs and CD players are practically extinct, how you present your songs (apart from posting them online) If/when you send your songs to publishers, do you send a CD or maybe even a flash drive? Do you ever send mp3s to people in the industry? (with friends and family I just send the a link to my IMP artist page)

I used to talk about my music all the time when I was out and about, but now I stay chill. And when people ask me questions about it I am intentionally vague. "Is your music online?" "Yes." After a few minutes pass... "Well, where?" "On a few websites." "Okay... which ones?" "Which ones?" "Yeah, what sites is your music on?" "Just search for me."

I put my music up here while it's being checked out by CD Baby for distribution. So, you guys actually get a sneak preview of what's coming out. I do that for critique by fellow musicians here at IMP. I respect and trust people's opinion here. Mostly word of mouth and a few bucks of advertising on Spotify, Pandora, Jango, Radio Airplay, etc. (small budget) My wife gets frustrated with me talking about my music when we're out and about, but I do it anyways. Cheers, Duane

The new biz model? No merch. No records or tapes. I'll sing some live songs sometimes, and if you miss it... oh well!
