You've Never Been This Far Before
There's a kind of song that all you have to do is hear one line and that line will be running thru your head for days. I was thinking about those times you have in your life when you're entering a new realm, when the girl on your bed in the room is one or several steps beyond what you ever thought you'd see, this girl that seems to have powers.. over you. What does she have that does that to you? I mean, you turn in one direction and see Betty Cooper, or rather Lili, that raw, sometimes foul-mouthed talent with as much charisma as you see on a half-dozen Saturdays. and the red-head with the lips that won't quit. but no, it's always the other girl. the one who pulls you in.. without even trying. Now you made it, you got over your charm thru the greatest wiles ever seen on this earth and she's right there lying across the bed from you. . . . and if that wasn't nice enough, she's happy. You made her happy. You've never been this far before, but you know you can handle it. You've lived your whole life up til now for this moment. . this girl. . You'll do just fine.

Cheryl, you really can't blame the guy for being caught up in your lips, as you pretty much have the best I've ever seen.

I red about the redhead with the lips and I know I'm the one you're talking about because I see you all over social media talking about my lips. I personally don't think you know me well enough to talk so much about my lips, they are sort of an intimate thing.

Fly, it's nice you mentioned my name and all but it's really no compliment for somebody to be going around saying you're their second favorite. If you don't want to make a play for me, don't be talkin' my name out your face.

so far in the time I've been in your general proximity or so it seems, your presence has tended to make me stronger, your spirit. I don't feel any fear in regards to you. Your magnetism wipes out any extraneous drama. I will say how I feel with no hesitation, and nothing even dlose to a second thought.

That's right. We're not that much different. We were both brought up in the country. We both did a lot of musical things. I've seen boys like you who talk all bold and then when we finally meet they suddenly get all lost, it's hard to understand. but i can tell you're gonna be different. You have a sense of security about yourself that allows you to just walk into a girl's heart, no matter how much of a catch you think she is. She likes you too, anyway. :)
