Interesting that you mention that, Stoneman! :) I didn't want to use the analogy in my previous post, but whenever I get to that 'high' point at the end of a fruitful creative process, it feels like the female equivalent of what you've just written. LOL ("Cat on a hot tin roof" comes to mind. :) ) I wonder if anyone has ever made a study of the connection between the emotional/physical responses that come into play when one is in the state of inspiration and/or has reached its peak.

Yeah, it's like having a creative hard on! Much Respect, Stoneman

Back on board here after a bit of a hiatus (e.g. busy with overseas visitors, work, writing lyrics for a co-writer's album, etc.) Couldn't resist this good question. I definitely feel a buzz, but not at the point of inspiration (where it's more like a light being switched on). I get that absolute jolt when - after I've spent ages revising a lyric - it's reached a point where I absolutely know it's a 'keeper' and ready for the music. The feeling is entirely visceral, and it's been going on for years. Does this count? :)

Man, I'll jump in on this one. It's not all the time, but Hellz Yeah, there is a-tinglin', When inspiration hits Me or someone amongst my friends/Collaborators. Almost Feels Like my Spider-Sense is tingling, Mr. Fly .
