Well somebody got stopped in their tracks today!
Our neighbor, ever since we moved in, she's the ultimate busy body, I nicknamed her the ghoul, she's desperate and needy. She finds every excuse possible to knock on the door, and my spouse is so nice she just gives her 3 eggs or whatever just to get rid of her. This woman asks for things 6 out of 7 days in the week. And we can't keep the deck door open because she pops her head in. So today she shows up looking for some hardware items. The deck is behind our living room recliners which is where I'm sitting. I shout at the top of my lungs "We're not the general store!" :~D

Umm coupons are free so she gave you nothing you can't get yourself for free. Don't open the door to her again you'll regret it and never get rid of her. Two Silo Complex, Ken

The lady left a bunch of coupons at the door and now my spouse feels bad. I have no sympathy for this woman whatsoever.

I believe the terms are moochers, freeloaders, busy bees, etc etc. The neighbor sounds lonely and needy indeed and quite possibly nosy as well. It might be best at this point instead of being nice to cut her off completely and say something like we don't appreciate your unannounced visits and we are not here to provide for you general needs. If we want you to stop by we be sure to invite you ok? I think she will get the hint. Or hang a sign on the front door with her first name on it that says something like Sorry (patty) were fresh out of whatever you stopped by for so don't bother knocking. Please proceed to the nearest exit at your earliest convince like now. Don't come back now ya hear? Anyway that's me and occasionally sometimes people think I'm a real jerk I wonder why?
