Welcome new artist, Joel Beaupre

"Indian raga-like acoustic guitar figure, melodic bass line, crooner vocal, retro keys (really, an 80's Casio), Hendrix quoted in outtro solo." joel charms with a lovely chorus, very memorable, bold poetic lyrics, and expressive, velvet-y vocal, kudos..." to start this off. Joel Beaupre, hailing from Nashville, uploaded a bunch of songs yesterday, and I've been enjoyin' the musical savvy, artistry, and bold, poetic lyrics. Joel also builds/repairs vintage guitars. (not to mention a phd in philosophy from vanderbilt)

Thank you for your warm and thoughtful comments. I am so happy that the songs are listened to and appreciated by people who also write and perform - in other words, those who still can hear! Let my music stand or fall on its own - I appreciate all feedback without taking anything personally! It's not "self-expression": God knows they resisted me the whole way haha! I like sharing a laugh over how something misfired. The friendly welcome by fellow artists and the astounding variety of songs at Indie Music People has given me a new community and purpose! I want to help some of my fellow, unheard-of Nashvilians by uploading songs that I think you'll enjoy discovering, as I did! I'd rather pass the spotlight... Next to come, a fantastic songwriter/performer named Zack Harvey. If you like Elliot Smith, you'll be in for a treat!
