Broken things
So my last 2 instruments i bought were broken. I mean really broken unplayable. They were really cool looking and sounding it turned out. Especially a guitar that is 55 years old Galanti semi acoustic. It had a broken tail piece i mean sheared right thru right at the back. Where the 2 angles meet. Luckily Peterhead is an oil town so we have loads of engineering and welding going on. I managed to find some one who could weld chrome plated brass usually it would melt if you try to weld it. I had no chance of finding a replacement end piece. I also had to get shimming done to the neck. Such a nice looking guitar though plays really nice as well. Apart from the tuners that are 55 years old. But no luck finding equivalent tuners. Least it works now and not going to be a nice wall hanger.
