Rest my soul
At tune about being tired and needing to rest. A poem by Sharon Lagueux from All poetry It's time for me to go to bed lay down and rest my weary head and there surrender all to God as He listen attentively with love Its time for me to close my eyes and lay myself in arms of care Its time to give him all my woes and let flow all my wistful tears He'll be my peace and rest within from the devil that causes turmoil He shall cross every evil scheme and while I sleep He'll be my joy It's time to rid all fear and dread lay down and rest my weary head and there find comfort in my God He understands the tears I sobbed Rest my soul

I do like poetry and yes it did influence me to write this song. Sure it will work later Tom works here

Thanks for sharing those lyrics. Very evocative. I couldn't get the music to play, though. I'll try later on another computer - the one I'm currently using is old and forgetful.

I listened. It was strange because I was expecting there to be some voice with those lyrics but now I presume those influenced you to write the music. Anyway it was atmospheric and i'm happy to report the tune is still playing in my head and it's been about 10 minutes since the song was finished.
