I live just 3 miles or so from McD's international headquarters. Please warn me if something is going down there. I want to keep away: take another route to the mall. ;-)

"Maybe the Medical center can contact Toys r Us and replace it with a statue of Geoffrey the dinosaur, maybe that would ease the poor kids' minds." :D :D :D :D

perhaps Bluto should pipe up and let us know its opinion on this matter. not sure if popeye would show up here. but then again since the pipelines self appointed psychiatrist is so endowed with much knowledge in this area and is also a number of other iconic symbols we all worship, perhaps an answer from all creatures large and small would be appreciated. since you and I dont really get along as we should, I think I wont answer your questions in the future as you take such offense and get personally offended when I do, you have indicated that I have anger issues in the past, and while that is indeed true and very perceptive on your part, I at least can take a bit of correction, but you cant. so how is that for an answer

I think a statue of bluto, popeye beating the crap out of each other would be more appropriate

Does a thread about a Ronald McDonald statue really need to be turned all serious? Maybe the Medical center can contact Toys r Us and replace it with a statue of Geoffrey the dinosaur, maybe that would ease the poor kids' minds. Do you think a statue of Bluto would suffice?

Kind of a flippant cavalier statement on your part Dr IMP Shrimp, I dont think fries had anything to do with it. But at least you noted that the people have issues. As for the destruction of the statue. Pretty sad when these no counts pull off a stunt like that, and right near the place where children are being treated for serious diseases at a nearby Medical Center. I think it is just a bunch of heartless vandals with nothing better to do then be cruel and dont even consider how this would impact the children who were used to seeing the statue as a welcoming essence....People with no principles, and no conscience. "A smiling Ronald McDonald statue occupied a bench outside the Burlington home for years, welcoming sick children and their families who need to be close to the University of Vermont Medical Center."
