If you happen to write a groovy song

Even if the song is not in a style you normally do or are comfortable with. Even if the song doesn't really fit into any mold that promises to fulfill anyone's tastes. Even if the hooks in the song are surely not very accessible except for the most pondering of listeners. you should record the song, if one thing you know is that it's groovy.

Herman’s Hermits used to goof around before every rehearsal by playing Henry the VIII I Am just for fun. They looked at the song as a total joke and never included it on any album or in any concert. One day, their manager heard them playing the song during their rehearsal and he told them they HAD to put the song on an album and release it as a single. It turned out to be the biggest hit they ever had!
