Is Father the best?
Father said he was the best in my post and Andy agreed with him! Fathers banned me from listening to his music though so i can't make up my own mind about it.Do you agree with Andy and Father on this subject or not?

Are no more people going to champion?! Richard,are you sure you don't want to be in the contest? You've been championed by Picky, so it seems a waste to just go out now so close to the prize! I really hope things are ok between the 2 of you and you're not splitting up or anything

Hello Raymond! You're very self serious! You say that every musician on IAC is totally equal to everyone else.If thats true on the IAC then it must be true in the history of music! So Bob The Builder must be equal with The Beatles in quality! Crazy Frogs artistry must be worth the same to mankind as Beethovens ! You sound like a trades union official ! Does the musicians union think the same as you? There are many songs and artists i like i've reviewed here and said so.There have been some i've not liked and said so too.I said at the start of my listening thread that i'd say what i thought honestly and gave people the choice to say whether they wanted to hear my truth or not! As i said,i'm not an artist myself,just a listener,so maybe my simple reviews don't have the insight you want! You have the choice to listen and review songs yourself,then maybe they'd be more beneficial and to your taste! Start your own review thread and do something constructive about it! If you want to find out who i like,just look on my review thread! I take it you might not wish to enter the contest with Father,Richard and Hop? If you do you'll need to find champions for your cause! This might be difficult if you're so grumpy!

Feb, My work speaks for itself and all are free to judge it on it's merits. I'm not here to compete with anyone or to promote myself as the "best". If there are those who want to declare themselves the best, that's their right. If there are those who want to champion me or anyone else, that's their right too. But I am not going to declare that I am the best because I think that such is thing is very hard to quantify. I do not believe that anyone here is the "best". It's too subjective but I can't stop people form speculating on that if they want to. Frankly, I don't see the point. I respect all my fellow artists at IAC. We all have something to offer. I'm only in competition with myself to keep getting better. I love the work of Todd and Father Time. I consider them my colleagues and not my competition. But I can't say that I'm not flattered if some people think that my work is among the best. The only thing I will say about myself is that I work very hard at trying to create songs that people will listen to and enjoy.

Listening to the song might help clarify those points" Robbie and Richard.My humble apologies! As i said though,i will listen to all the artists in the contest when (if!) Father allows me to listen to his music again and when everyones been championed by those who wish to champion! I want things to be fair!

Hello Robbie! So Richard now has Picky and yourself as champions for his quest! My opinion will remain my own for the moment! (Hopefully Father will lift his listening ban so i can make a decision based on the facts).As Picky is his new lover and your championing appears to be vanity-based on him having a song named after your band, i can't be 100% sure you're both making unbiased objective decisions though! Do you wish to include yourself in the competition to challenge Fathers self-proclamation as the greatest ever on IAC?

So its now become a 3 horse race as to who everyone thinks is the greatest at IAC! Will everyone vote for Richard,Hop or Father i wonder? This is getting exciting! Should we have a song-off or something to decide? Who will champion and vote for who? Congratulations to Picky and Richard for the start of their IAC romance here on this thread too! I'm such a romantic and its so wonderful to see love blossoming like this!

I won't ASK anyone. All I ASK is for my music to be listened to, and you can make up your own mind. As for me, I think that I am. And, in my world, isn't that all that really matters: being heard and knowing that you are the best, no matter what others think? If she wants to champion me, that would be very nice. If she doesn't, it changes nothing in my world. I already know how good I am. I just want the chance for others to discover how good I am, too! So... listen and decide. And... love what you love. I already do. But that does not mean that I have no love for others. I'm just the best; but I mean you no disrespect and certainly no harm.

Well Hop you certainly don't lack confidence!Are you the best or just the boast though?Are you a boxer as well? Maybe Father will challenge you to a song duel! Do you think Fathers watching over this thread with a grumpy eye on the pretender to his throne! ? Are you risking his wrath now? You've called him ugly and he might not like that! Actually,although he has supporters its mainly HIM who's said he's the greatest,so i don't know how much it counts. You need to get champions for you like Andy and Sterling to match Father i think.Ask Picky,she hasn't committed herself to either side yet!

I've had 7 songs covered by 7 different artists... both friends and strangers, who came to me and requested the permission to do my songs, with no prompting on my part whatsoever. I must be the greatest. FT is too ugly to be champ! Look at me! I'm pretty!!! I gotta be the champ! And, I must be The Greatest!!!

Well Hop,you certainly have a very very high opinion of yourself indeed!You need to find champions for your cause like Andy and Sterling and Cracka are for Father! Has Father allowed you to listen to his music or has he banned you too now for challenging his self-proclaimed supremacy!? Father can be quite grumpy sometimes

He does now. And so does everybody else!!! And you know how I know this? Because I also have the very best taste of anybody in the world! I am the best. And, if not only with Hop On Pop (an eclectic pop band), you can hear me with Cash Cow (a punk band) ChewToy (my other punk band) eLeMeNO (my very first band -- kinda R.E.M. folk-rock) So, yeah. I'm the best. So much the best. Better than anyone. And, if you don't believe me, I'm gonna kick and cry and scream until I get what I want.

Besides,i still don't know for sure whether Father IS the best or not! Does anyone else have an opinion on this subject?

yeah, I know Feb -- but I was just makin' a point. FT is great, and that's why Andy said, in effect, "your the best, dude"..... So whadya think of some of my 60s/70s tunes? Anxious to hear your opinion, as a lover of retro.....

Uh.... February.... I don't remember what was exchanged between you and FT, but there is NO possible way to BAN an individual IP address from streaming Father Time's music, unless it is done by IAC Support. And then all you would have to do is go to a different machine or hook into a different network with a different IP. ANYHOOOO>... my point is, Give FT a listen. I think you'll dig his stuff. Is he or Andy Broad the BEST? Heck no. It's all a matter of personal taste, once you reach a certain level of musicianship. EXAMPLE: Congregation SewerSide is both LOVED & hated by many... smallish numbers albeit, but all over the world. So no "banning" is possible, it's a FREE site, to the listener, so LISTEN away to whoever you want. We ALL up in here appreciate your williness to check out our tunes. -Luv, pHLeGm
