Its not a sprint to success it is a marathon

There is a reason why certain artists go places in the music-entertainment business. one , DRIVE They have Drive and determination, they work hard to develop their music abilities and understand where their strengths and weaknesses are, they play to their strengths and over course of time hone their skill sets and craft their understanding of what they are best at. two. EDUCATION they learn about the music business and how it works ,it is not just writing good songs that make an entertainer successful. it is so much more then that three, SEEKING HELP they seek out a team of advisers and supporters, those that advocate and support them four. HUMILITY Having a respectful and considerate attitude towards others goes a long ways to help one get places, arrogance turns people off. five, SACRIFICE they are willing to sacrifice something important to get to where they are going, immersing oneself and having a singleness of mind without distractions getting in the way, six. PERSEVERANCE they persevere and dig in and dont give up on their dream. it is sticking to the plan and goal they ultimately want to achieve seven. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF they invest in what they believe in and are dedicated to what they are doing and believe in their task at hand, they take the, time, energy, and dedicate themselves to the goal they have in mind. and realize it is a long haul -it is not a sprint to success, it is a marathon

All very relevant and straight to the point information. Good reminders for some of us old dogs in the music game and very important stuff for the youngsters to take hold of. You have a wealth of experience and I appreciate your willingness to share, expound and encourage. Much Respect, Stoneman
