Well, the weekend gigs were a success
Easy gigs! 3 hours each afternoon at a flower/gift shop for its Christmas open house. I played solo piano Christmas music as people with money browsed around buying $20 ornaments and $600 Christmas trees. Easy set up and teardown since all I had was my piano and a small sound system. Owner handed me a check when I was done and we're both very happy. And the best part is, a studio owner in Ohio happened to be listening and hired me for session work on 2 cd's he's producing. The sessions will be over the next 3-4 weeks. Every now and then I get it right.... :)

Sounds like a nice gig. No late nights.......that's what I like.......I'm getting really tired of the late night gigs on the weekends and then working all week at my day job.........but I'm not ready to give it up..........I just like to whine a bit. :-) deb
