What's going on in the mind of Eric

Well just because you asked for it. Nothing really cohesive enough to write home about but today a few thoughts have been swimming around in my ocean. The morning after: For some reason I always get a kick out of singing "Hungover" when I am. Listening to the recorded version during that time also seems to bring me some kind of strange thrill. The line "don't remember what I said" applies particularly well today...I vaguely remember offending some 23 year old college girls last night, with my attitude of "you're not hot shit, you're just a couple of small town Salt Lake girls". Hmmm, unususal. At least I had the opportunity to meet a tall (and bubbly) drink of water named Amanda. Too bad I don't have a line in one of my songs like "don't know why I didn't ask for the phone number" to get a thrill from the next day. The insurance biz: It really amazes me that in an industry where change is a constant that such a high percentage of people who have made a semi-successful career are so resistant to it. The other day on a cold call, I slipped and said "Well you're just stuck in your old ways" to an agent. Yes, it went over like a lead balloon but luckily I was able to smooth things over. Humor is such a priceless tool in sales Eric on Film: The DaVinci Code: wow, what a mindfuck. I'm one of the few people that still probably hasn't read the book but I'm glad I saw this, because usually I glaze over when I hear conspiracy theorists breech the subject of secret societies. The Notorious Bettie Page: I made myself sit all the way through this but really got restless and bored about halfway through it. Probably it was accurate historically and all but I find it hard to believe that she was as naive as they portrayed her to be. X-Men 3: I liked it, but not as much as X-Men 2. But the way they ended this one really left me feeling empty. Although I gotta give them mad props for not having the happiest of endings.
