A Songwriters going rate?
I'm just not one to let go of an opportunity, because it may not happen again. So I have received a request to write songs for another artist, possible collaborations as well. The way I figure it: My song, I sing, I create product = 100% royalties Collaborate, both sing, both create product = 50/50 I write, someone else sings = would that be a 50/50? No product yet but am forward thinking. I just like to prepare myself before venturing in blindly. Any feedback on this or links to direct me to some more info greatly appreciated.

haha... details, details :-) I guess 50% or 100% of nothing is still nothing! Anyway thanx....I'm just thinking out loud these days I guess.

Thanks Laree! I guess there is no real money to be made until a recording is done :-(
