What would you do if you had this opportunity...
a short set at some sort of indie spotlight show where the world would be watching. You could play 2 of your own songs and 1 cover song. What songs would you play?

I'd play Virtual Star, and possibly And You Call Yourself A Rebel. cover song ? The one that comes to mind right now is Elton's Have Mercy On The Criminal.

Probably Fly me to the Moon as a cover, or the licensed cover I did on Light my fire not doing the links on my originals below, no time leaving for a spell have to hit the road, will do later, I know Lyin Dan will scold me for doing so, even though I know how. lol Slip Slidin In Flight

A cover I would play is "Only Wanna Know", by John Martyn, My own efforts would be Now Is The Time and Arming The Third World

I probably would cover the Perry Como song: "Catch a Falling Star" because it would be unexpected and fun. My own songs: First off, I would play "We Made It To the Middle" because I think it's one of the best things that I've ever written. And, I'd close with "The Yummy Song" because it always seems to be a hit and gets a great reaction from every single crowd to whom I've played it.
