This is the first song I heard William(Bill/Mr,X) singing on that first night we met. And “Oh my GOD” you wouldn’t believe how much encouragement it took from me before he could be convinced that it was perfectly alright to make a "copy" of it. This was his "baby"(first one at that) and he'd preferred that it stay "living" and believed that putting it onto tape for any recording purposes would be similar to a "defilement" of the song. While I can see his point being made in this type of thinking, I was still able to persuade him into letting me record him by pointing out the "hundreds" of songs we had "captured" already and that "they" hadn't necessarily been "defiled" by our "capturing them on tape". So, he FINALLY agreed... and I set everything up, mixers, mikes, EVERYTHING BEFOREHAND... so that he could simply come in, sit down, and play the song for “real”... live... one take only... as if we were doing a “funeral” for this song. Thank God! It went off without a hitch. He added keyboard etc. It wasn’t until a few years later that he grabbed me, looked me in the eye, and said “Thank You! ...for doing THAT! ...REALLY!”
And then I reminded him THAT, after he'd sung it, I'd told him about my believing that "Jesus" WAS a "female" being caused by "Blood and Water" coming from HER "side" and that ONLY "SHe" could die in "Pangs Of TRAVAIL"!
