"Empty Words" is a song I wrote back in 2017 during a family vacation in Iran. I didn't have much to do back then, and naturally, a lot of old memories and feelings tend to resurface whenever you have a lot of time on your hands. A lot of friendships don't work out because friends tend to turn into rivals if their interests are too much alike. That's what I've experienced a few times, and it's pretty sad whenever I remember the unfortunate things that could have been avoided if both parties had acted more grown-up back then.
